点评:The castle is a ruin, but there’s something very special and tranquil about this site. The views are spectacular, and the castle is very atmospheric, and has some really beautiful medieval carvings which are still visible. We really enjoyed being able to sit outside and relax with a drink, and walking around at our leisure taking photos. I bought my tickets online through Cadw; they are cheaper than buying them there. It’s a dog friendly site, which is always good news. There’s a mini cafe selling drinks, ice cream and a few other bits. They have a shop selling gifts. There are also bathroom facilities. The car park is free, but not massive, however, there is a pay and display in the town. This is cheap enough, £4 for 4 hours, but it is a steep incline from here up to the castle. One thing to note, if you want further food choices, there are pubs, and cafes in Denbigh town. I’ve read other user reviews, and they’ve mentioned the tricky roads leading up to the castle. The roads are narrow, and residential. Cars do park along the roadside. One of the roads is more awkward to navigate than the other. If you think you might struggle, check your route before you arrive there.
