Great Food, So So Beer
Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery的点评
点评：We went to this craft brewery on May 30th at around 7:30 p.m. It was quite busy at this time but we got a table without wait. The brewery is On Dunlop Street in Barrie with easy access to Highway 11. Parking is on the street, but again, I had no problem finding a spot a few doors down and parking is free after 5:00 p.m.
We ordered 2 beer flights which are 4 x 5 oz. each. The price depends on what you're sampling, so we paid $14.65 for one flight and $15.05 for the other (they should really make sample flights a standard price). The beer was OK. Not really my cup of tea (or cup of beer - LOL). Trying too hard to be "crafty" and most are heavily fruity flavoured. I also tried the triple chocolate milk stout - in a word: don't.
Although disappointed with the beer, the food was outstanding! We had the Mess of Poutine ($15), Yardbird Chicken Sandwich ($20) and the Super Smash Double Burger ($20) along with a 1 Piece BF Pretzel ($12) to share. Generous portions, big pretzel, absolutely delicious!
Staff weer good, friendly and efficient. We enjoyed our dinner immensely, but the beers were meh. Maybe go for the food and try the seltzers.
