点评：This is my ode and respect to Lord Brahma himself , the CREATOR. To assist / guide anyone who wishes to travel to this temple down south is the purpose of this post. For the first timers / solo travelers visiting, lets start with a few tips. It helps to be a south Indian but if not , you would have to find someone who speaks in English. Hindi and other languages are a challenge too. Based on your convenience , book a flight to Trichy. Its best to visit the temple on a Thursday if possible so land atleast a day before. Rapido is available in the city of Trichy and you can easily take a bike or a rickshaw and you will be charged Rs 200 additional by the driver. Choose Srirangam as the location to stay and a night in a decent hotel will cost Rs 1200 - Rs 1500 . The total fare to Srirangam from the airport will be Rs 400- Rs 800 depending on the mode of transport. It will take maximum 30 mins to reach Srirangam. Local food is paratha and free chutneys , sambhar and stew that you may enjoy with filter coffee. There are no luxury properties in Trichy nor are there any accommodations available in Tirputhur where is the temple is . Stay the night at Srirangam on a Wednesday and take a Rapido bike to the temple for Rs 400 one way 26 kms away early moaning on a Thursday at 4.30 am. You will reach the temple by 5 am. Incase you wish to do an abhisheka you have to pay online and book for Rs 3500 in advance. However if you wish to only get your horoscope blessed please carry a hard bound original horoscope, The priests at the temple do not entertain a photocopy of the original horoscope. Queue up for your turn to drop the horoscope right at the shrine when the priest circulate the basket in front of the Brahma idol covered with turmeric. They will return it back with a layer of turmeric as a blessing. Please do visit the Parvati shrine inside as it was MAA PARVATI who persuaded Lord Shiva to forgive Lord Brahma. Right outside the temple is a corner where you can light 36 divyas or earthen lamps so do carry oil and cotton wicks. Its best to keep a driver and a vehicle waiting or stick to the local bus that is at a 40 mins frequency costing Rs 20 back to Srirangam and which takes around an hour atleast. If you stick to the above schedule you will save time and money. There are other temples like Rockfort and Shiva - Swayambhu temples in Trichy that you can cover within a day if you hire a vehicle for Rs 3000. There are no KFCs or MacDonalds in the city. I have provided the precise details for a solo traveler with the pure intent of getting his / her horoscope blessed at Brahmapureeshwarar. May this be helpful to one and only planning to visit the temple in future with HIS GUIDEDANCE. My review is excellent place to visit for sure even if it to seek blessings or forgiveness .
