Emerald Creek Garnet Area的点评
点评：I had this brilliant idea to take my kids to Emerald Creek to dig for star garnets. I did it about 12 yrs ago and scored some beautiful gems. We drove down from eastern WA. Got down the 7 mi dirt road to see signs that say “Reservations required’. No cash/money taken at site. This was not mentioned on This Site.
1) this is a Federally run site.
Recreation.gov Emerald Creek/garnet area
2) Reservations ARE required. Season opens Memorial Day-early fall. ‘Reservations/tickets’ start on March 1 each year. They go FAST!!!
2a) there are on 60 spots/day. Choose an AM or PM session.
3) tickets (2022) were $16 adults, $6 youth 6-12,
$1-5 & under.
4) about 2-2.5 hr from Spokane.
5) there is a Campground:Emerald Creek. Need separate reservations.
*advice: plan to get dusty/muddy. bring garden glove that can get wet, a kneeling pad, Water & a sack lunch, hat, sunscreen. There are porta potties & a handwashing station.
6) NO Cell Service in that region!! Even spotty on Hwy 3.
