点评:There is a different feeling once you reach the town of Badrinathji. This year was my 8th visit and I would like to keep visiting the shrine. Over the decades, the crowds have increased significantly, the accommodation options too have increased proportionately. Inspite of all these crowds, the temple maintains a halo and purity which is often missed in many other busy temples. As yet, there is no pressure by priests to pay to bypass the 'darshan' ques.
Visit to Mana has also become an essential part of the trip since the past few trips and this visit also remains satisfying as always.
This year, I visited the 'Shesh Netra Sheela'. Was a little disappointed at its poor upkeep.
I also had the privilege of trekking up to 'Charan Paduka' - supposedly having the rock formation of Vishnuji's paduka (footwear). A short but steep trek behindd the main temple for about 1 hour. The location also provides excellent view of the area and also the 'Neelkanth' peak. There is a small temple of 'Gupta Ganga' on the way.
