点评:We have been visiting this garden centre since the 1990’s when there was just a very small cafe. The way it’s developed over the years has been a real boost to this area.
We go on a regular basis for breakfast and it’s always very good quality but the service is often sketchy.
Today we visited as usual for breakfast and could see immediately it was very busy. When I placed our order I was told it would be a forty minute wait. We actually waited almost an hour. I had to say to someone how long we had been waiting. The thing that was particularly annoying was the lack of clearing of the tables. Waiters would come out with the food and on their way back to the kitchens would just walk passed the tables that needed clearing.
The system there leaves a lot to be desired. They ask where you’re sitting when you place your food order and give you a number to place on your table. The waiters walk round and round looking for which table to deliver to. The restaurant should be divided into colour zones with table numbers reflecting the zone. At least the waiter would come out with food looking for a number on the red zone for example. I once suggested this to a member of staff and they just said they’ve tried everything. Well I’m afraid they haven’t and it was chaos today.
