Weirs Beach的点评
点评：Weirs Beach is actually located in Endicott Rock Park ~ named for the state historic site on the park grounds.
The Weirs Beach is a very popular place for enjoying a beach at Lake Winnipesaukee. It’s a clean, fairly wide, and sandy beach with no rocks.
It’s also scenic. With the right timing, beachgoers can watch the cruise boats M/S Mt. Washington and M/V Sophie C mail boat, sail from and to their nearby dock on Lakeside Avenue as well as private craft coming and going at the channel at the other end of the beach.
The convenient location not very far the boardwalk, shops, arcades, and restaurants along Lakeside Avenue add to its attractiveness as a destination for a full day of activities.
And, another bonus is the Endicott Rock State Historic Site which is located at the end of the beach near the Weirs Channel.
On my vacation day at Weirs Beach, I enjoyed the beach first. Then, I visited the Endicott Rock monument.
Later, I walked some of the boardwalk and then crossed Lakeside Avenue and went to the shops and the two arcades.
In all, it was an enjoyable, fun-filled day.
For all it has to offer, I rate Weirs Beach at 4.5 and can recommend a visit.
SIDE NOTE: Although access to the beach is free, parking isn’t. There are kiosks where one pays for parking at $2.50 per hour and can be purchased in 15-minute periods.
The reason for the delay in submitting this review was due to a months-long loss of my ability to post photos with my reviews and some health issues.
