Nice beach park, town lacks other green space
Parksville Community Park and Skate Park的点评
点评：The beach is lovely. Our younger children loved the play area. The food trucks were a nice addition to supplant our picnic. It’s also very central so that was handy as shopping us nearby.
It’s VERY busy. With all the childrens gear we took the car. There is limited parking.
It’s very busy as there is no other green space anywhere in town. Further out there is Rathtrevor but we stayed in town so we’re hoping to use local amenities, and try to walk as much as we could. We went walking, purchased some treats and could find no where to just sit for a few minutes, except a piece of wall. So surprised with the lack of anywhere to sit and enjoy a tree in town. Tons of new construction and apartments and we felt so sorry for the new residents, especially near Jensen and Port Alberni road. To us having some pocket green space is so essential and you find it in big cities. Not sure Parksville will be very desirable soon. Or perhaps there are plans. ( we did find some open space on Memorial but it’s not green or pleasant).
Qualicum is certainly a lot nicer so will stay there next summer.
