Great food and easy shopping in the heart of Patong

点评：Having visited Patong regularly, I was glad to see Jungceylon fully open again after being closed during my 2022 trip. It sits right in the heart of the action, just a short walk from the beach and even closer to Bangla Road. It remains the absolute best place to escape the blistering Phuket heat or a heavy tropical downpour.
For our family, it is a lifesaver. While we love local street food, traveling with kids means we sometimes need easier dining options, and Jungceylon delivers. The Food Bazaar in the basement is excellent, offering a massive variety of both Thai and Western food. If the kids want familiar brands, they have McDonald's, KFC, Burger King, and The Pizza Company. For adults, The Irish Times does a great all-day breakfast. We also tried the new Tim Hortons in the Bay Zone. While it is priced similarly to the West (making it a bit expensive for Thailand), the coffee, donuts, and ice cream are very good. I usually stick to Dairy Queen nearby, but I couldn't resist their espresso maple twist!
Beyond food, the large Big C store inside is where I always go to stock up on all my trip essentials at fair prices. My only minor critique is the new layout. Compared to the past, the mall feels a bit more congested. There are a lot of stalls crammed near the Bay Zone, and they have added little stone seats in the middle of the Garden Zone walkway, making it harder to move around. I slightly prefer the more spacious "Jungceylon of old," but it is still an absolute must-visit landmark to relax and unwind when in Phuket!
