点评：We were searching for a fun, meaningful, community-style event for Christmas Eve in Sayulita. It felt like a tall order—but we found it in the most unexpected place.
As a family of three with a 15-year-old, finding somewhere we would all genuinely enjoy felt like a miracle. Enter Sayulita Sandbar—a true playland for kids and adults alike, run by absolute salt-of-the-earth people.
There’s a plethora of activities, and we dove right in. We tried pickleball for the very first time, and when a local noticed how pathetic we were, he jumped in, coached us, and had us actually playing by the time our delicious burgers arrived.
Next up was Cornhole—another new challenge that felt impossible at first. With friendly encouragement from the staff, we soon found ourselves in an organized competition, laughing alongside other patrons as strangers came together in good-natured fun.
Our teenage daughter, who is usually quite shy, was having an absolute blast—playing games, including ping pong and foosball, and fully joining in. Hours flew by, and to top it all off, we all sang karaoke. I was completely shocked (and thrilled!) when my daughter willingly got up and sang.
I’m writing this novel of a testimonial because the staff and the Sandbar gave us the best Christmas Eve we could have hoped for. It was truly the highlight of our trip—bringing strangers together in joy, which turned out to be the greatest gift of all.
