点评：Arcot Hall isn’t just a golf course — it’s a walk through golfing heritage, beautifully framed by the rolling Northumberland countryside. Designed by the legendary James Braid, five-time Open Champion and one of golf’s greatest course architects, it’s a shining example of his genius for natural design. Every fairway and green feels perfectly placed, offering that signature Braid blend of risk and reward that tests your head as much as your hands.
The course is in immaculate condition, with manicured fairways, true-running greens, and clever bunkering that still catches out the overconfident (myself included). It’s a layout that rewards strategy and imagination — a course with real soul.
The clubhouse, a listed building, stands elegant and proud, echoing the traditions of the game. Inside, the bar is welcoming and relaxed, the perfect spot to unwind, share a story or two, and enjoy the warm Arcot hospitality.
And then there’s Arkkatu, serving up food that’s nothing short of magical. Sunday dinners are legendary, desserts are dangerously good, and every plate is crafted with care.
The golf professional, Kris, is a true gem — friendly, knowledgeable, and always up for a chat or a tip that somehow improves your game without bruising your ego. Add the quality practice facilities and the indoor simulator room (available anytime), and Arcot Hall genuinely offers the full package.
In a golfing world that’s always rushing forward, Arcot Hall reminds you why you fell in love with the game in the first place — history, beauty, challenge, and pure enjoyment that is dog friendly!
