点评:We drove from Pipestem Falls SP where we were camping. They gave us directions to area waterfalls & we decided to try & find Brush Creek Falls.
Apparently this used to be a state park, but now is part of the Nature Conservacy.
From Hwy 20 South find Brush Creek Falls Road. Drive 2.8 miles, then turn left on a narrow, winding road. This looks like someone's driveway & is about as wide!
In less than a mile you'll come to a parking area on the right. We were the first car there.
The trail begins on the right of the lot & is rocky & rooty. After all the rain we had it was also muddy. The trail follows the stream.
The falls is visible in under a half mile on your left. There's a very sturdy fence that prevents you from falling over the side. People have been going around it to get a better view of the falls. I did too, but did not go all the way down. Just where I could get a good picture.
Go back to the parking lot, or continue until the trail dead ends & return.
By the time we got back to the lot it was full & people were parking along the road.
Get there early!
Continue on this road to get to Camp Creek State Park.
