Hopefield Animal Sanctuary & Visitor Centre的点评
点评：We have always enjoyed our visits here and loved the food.
This visit was very disappointing for a number of reasons.
1) the cafe- so much food was unavailable and apparently had been all week even though it’s half term. Very bad planning and preparation for the manager. The cheese panini was so bland and not even a small side salad with it to help with flavour.
The cafes queue area is too small and very overcrowded with tables and chairs in that small area that doesn’t help. Set up needs a rethink.
The bins were an over flowing mess!
2) the toilets- portable toilets that are impossibly tiny and grim. I don’t see how the chemicals used are in anyway eco or environmentally friendly as I thought was an ethos of the sanctuary. This place is used enough by the public to have ‘proper’ toilet facilities and not need to use portable loos.
3) My kids saw the pigs, one horse, sheep and lamas from a distance. The main kids experience is the bouncy thing, park and play bus for little ones. I think this is a shame (appropriate that some animals are kept away for various reasons) as children are taught affinity with animals through seeing them and being closer. Obviously supervised.
Overall was very disappointing. This didn’t feel like a vegan, eco animal sanctuary. It’s not cheap at all and in all honesty you’d get the same experience going to your local park with an inflatable and seeing other people’s dogs and the odd squirrel.

3）我的孩子们远远地看到了猪、一匹马、绵羊和羊驼。孩子们的主要活动是充气城堡、公园和儿童游乐巴士。我觉得这很可惜（考虑到一些动物因各种原因被隔离，这倒也情有可原），因为孩子们可以通过观察和近距离接触动物来培养对动物的喜爱。当然，这一切都是在监护下进行的。
总的来说，非常令人失望。这里完全不像一个素食主义的生态动物保护区。价格一点也不便宜，说实话，你去附近的公园，带上充气城堡，看看别人家的狗和偶尔出现的松鼠，也能获得同样的体验。
