The cafes don’t seem to want customers

点评：I am writing as a regular visitor to Oswaldtwistle Mills, often accompanied by my 82-year-old mother. We have always enjoyed our visits, but I wanted to share some feedback about our experience today, which left me feeling disappointed.
We arrived at the café at 3:00 PM, intending to have a light snack. To our surprise, none of the three cafés were serving food, despite the website indicating that all cafés are open during the advertised hours (Terrace Tea Room 9–4, Pavilion Coffee 10–5, Caffe Nova 10–5). In fact, one of the cafés was even turning people away for hot drinks.
This isn’t the first time I’ve felt rushed or unwelcome at the cafés. Often, when we visit around 2:30 PM, we feel hurried as staff begin cleaning up and closing. Today, we had hoped arriving slightly earlier would help, but the experience was still frustrating. I also spoke with another customer who visits with her elderly mother, and she expressed the same concerns about staff being abrupt and the cafés closing earlier than expected.
Ultimately, we ended up having only a cold carton and a packet of crisps at 3:20 PM, which was disappointing and not what we anticipated from a visit to your cafés. I understand that staff need to clean and close, but I feel that closing all food service so early in the afternoon—especially while the cafés are still technically open—creates a negative experience for visitors.
