What A Wondeful Suprise To Stumble On This Place

点评：My family and I were visiting the area this week to see Civil War sites (Particularly Shiloh) and ended up staying in Corinth as the nearest city. However we were happily surprised by all of the interesting stories that we found on the tour route there. The Verandah house was a standout both because you could tour it, but also because it was kept by the city in extremely good condition.
When we visited the museum curator Stephanie did a terrific job showing us around and talking to us about the house. Additionally I found it fascinating as a Civil War buff that this was the house that the battle of Shiloh was planned in and subsequently the home that General A.S. Johnston spent his last night alive in.
My only real complaint had to do with the fact that hours are not easily found online and some of their internet tourism infrastructure needed updating. So much potential here. Hope they continue to develop!
