点评：This is a good look into the past and is a short distance from the city of Tuscumbia. It is about a mile off the main highway and you need to look for the sign that will direct you back down a gravel road and up into the site of the home. parking is free and off to the left. You will walk up into the courtyard area and into the home from there. Julie or her staff will greet you and ask if you want a self guided tour or she will lead you on one.
It appears the state of Alabama saved this home from the depths of total destruction in the early 80's and have preserved it well. They are also continuing to work on the restoration so the upstairs is currently closed to visitors. Give yourself about an hour for your tour and you can ask Julie anything and she will be capable of answering for you. Well worth the trip!
