Beeleigh Abbey Gardens的点评
点评：Driving down the tucked away lane to the car park there is a peaceful energy that surrounds the whole place. The gardens are well tended and stunning. Some areas are a work in progress but whose garden isn’t?! The glass house is gorgeous and the peach tree inside was already laden with fruit. The head gardener and gardeners were all friendly and happy to chat and talk plants!
Other staff and volunteers were all lovely too. Toilets were immaculate and cleaned regularly.
We visited on a scorching hot day and were offered free fans, there were misting machines and parasols over the cafe tables, with water freely available. The cafe did great food, simple and well done. A good selection of strong plants to buy at reasonable prices, estate lamb (which my friend bought and said was delicious), and honey from the estate bees. Book your tickets and go before Gardeners World visit and everyone else discovers this hidden gem! PS if you haven’t been for a few years, visit again because much more of the garden has been opened up and huge efforts have gone into making it even more lovely and it looks so mature, even newly planted areas.
