A Memorable Trip into the Prehistoric Past!
Kgodumodumo Dinosaur Interpretation Centre的点评
点评：On our way home from a beautiful stay in the Drakensburg, we made a pit stop to the Kgodumodumo Dinosaur Interpretation Center. If it wasn't for my sister, we would not have known that this gem of a place exists right on our doorstep!
The center is nestled between the most unforgettable mountain ranges in Clarens; a location that can be deemed very appropriate for this type of museum! (Jurassic Park fans will agree!). The museum is a treat for anyone, across all ages, who are interested in things of the past. Everything from the introductory video which positions the way in which prehistoric finds and South African folklore blend to the way in which the museum has been laid out, provides an incredible glimpse into the past!
The admission fee was surprisingly low, especially for a museum that is exposing the public to such significant finds. Don't sell yourself short! :) We spent a good 1.5 hours in the museum, and it was relatively quiet on the day that we went so we had the opportunity to really digest what we were seeing!
You only ever expect to have these experiences in other countries, but we were extremely proud to have discovered the significant role that South African Paleontologists, Geologists and Scientists alike, have played in placing South Africa on the map in terms of paleontological finds!
Thank you Kgodumodumo for the exciting and memorable experience! I urge the public to make a trip to see this wonderful place!
P.S Only one suggestion - please, please extend your souvenir shops in the future! We would live to go home with a little memory of the place.
