Love BKB for What It is

点评：We are in BKB a lot because we love it for what it is -- quiet, natural, and a little backwards. We will occasionally come here to go to the beach in the summer, but usually not because, yeah, the bugs are awful. The flies are huge, they bite, and they are everywhere to the point that opening a door or window causes anxiety. The wasps and other bugs that come out of the marsh are big enough to feature in a Godzilla movie. We go the beach in BKB after October and before June. We do so knowing the sand is not going to be perfectly clean, that there will be horeshoe crab carcasses eveywhere, that we'll have a large stretch of the beach to ourselves, and that we can bring our dogs. There are no activities in BKB, nothing to walk to, not even delivery pizza, so if you're looking for a family beach vacation with people under 25, BKB is not for you. But, if you're like us and want to read a good book on a deck or balcony while listening to the sound of crashing waves and birds, we haven't found a better place for it. The only thing that ever bums us out about BKB are people who don't follow the leash laws or have voice control over their dogs and who are really loud for no reason. We've had perfectly idyllic, peaceful nights trashed by random dogs bashing in or people shouting as if the whole world is hard of hearing instead of speaking at a normal volume. But, for the most part, the people at BKB are great, particularly the year round folks who are always welcoming.
