Rude and money grabbing.
Cherwell Boathouse的点评
点评：I went rowing with a friend and thought the Boathouse would be lovely becuase of the location and standard of the restaurant. It was very quiet and we asked for a rowing boat, handed the paddles and left to it. We really struggled to get out of all the parked punts and eventually a man came over and gave us some tips rather half heartedly and made us feel like we were a nuisance. Admittedly we were not very good but it took us 5 mins to get out of the slot. We clocked the time from when we were free other maze of boats. Lovely time on the river and got back exactly 1 hr after. We really struggled to get the boat parked for about 10 minutes and nobody bothered to help us even though we were obviously struggling. Thank god we were able bodied otherwise no chance. When we went to pay we were charged £28 not £23. When I brought this up the man on the till said it was because we were 15 minutes over. When I explained that it was becuase we couldn’t get in or out of the slot he said that he could see us struggling but still charged us!! I could not believe how rude and unhelpful the staff were and would recommend going to the Magdalen bridge one where the staff are helpful and don’t charge you for getting out of the space!! Really disappointing and I will not return to punt there.
