American Museum of Western Art的点评
点评：I believe this is the best single-owner collection turned museum I've ever seen. Worried that it might be only "cowboy art" but it was an amazing group of pictures including multiple by Bierstadt (personal favorite), Hill, Moran, and others of that era. A good balance of landscape, Native American, and Settler subjects. Many pictures of very high quality - some of the best of the artists (for the ones I knew well enough to have an opinion). I enjoyed the salon style presentation of most of the collection - and the ability to see the paintings up close. The room settings at the front of each of the three floors were also nicely done with (surprisingly for many small museums) good furniture and such that complemented the pictures.
It is reasonable to go through the place in about 2 hours. If I were closer, I'd go back and revisit.
