Visiting the Forest Research Institute (FRI) in Dehradun was a wonderful experience. The campus is beautiful, spacious and surrounded by greenery, making it a refreshing place to explore away from the busy city.
The main FRI building is the biggest highlight. Its grand architecture, impressive scale and beautiful surroundings make it an excellent place for photography. The combination of historic architecture, lawns and the surrounding natural environment gives the entire campus a very special atmosphere.
I also enjoyed learning about forestry and the institute's contribution to forest research. The museums add an educational aspect to the visit and make it more interesting than a typical sightseeing attraction.
The campus is particularly enjoyable for people interested in architecture, history, nature, photography and education. It is also a good place for families because visitors can combine sightseeing with learning about forests, trees, wildlife and conservation.
What I liked most:
