Brilliant Community Lido - Everything you need in a sunny day!

点评：Absolutely love going to Brightlingsea Lido. There’s masses of parking at the public car park next door. Perfectly placed next to the promenade and in a gorgeous town.
Don’t know which one any negative reviewers went to as our experience every time we go is 100% positive. You can hire a lounger or chair for something like £2.50 which I think is fair. We just usually lie on our towels. You can hire inflatables or bring your own. They have a fab cafe for grub and snacks or you can bring a picnic. The pool isn’t heated and sometimes is very fresh - if you prefer indoor / heated pool temperatures, probably don’t go to an lido, lol!! 😂 When we last went in July, it was fresh but both pools were packed and everyone (young, old, families, groups of friends) was having fun.
Everyone we met - from fellow swimmers to staff - was amazing. Not one staff member is paid, they’re all volunteers so give up their full days just to give people a nice day. I’m sure they have to field all manner of enquiries and we’ve never had anything other than friendly help. Generally, on any visit, we’ve only ever experienced friendliness, people enjoying the lido while chatting away to us and professionalism in the staff. The great thing with Essex is the people are the salt of the earth, if you are friendly, polite, respectful etc, they will do everything they can to help you. If you’re rude or treat them badly etc, you get what you give.
Long story short - if you want to visit an historic lido that was brought back to life by the community as a charity (still a charity), where it has no airs or graces and is by the sea so the water can be cold, this one is for you. We are already booked to go again next weekend! 😎

我们遇到的每个人——从游泳伙伴到工作人员——都很棒。工作人员没有一个是拿工资的，他们都是志愿者，所以为了给人们带来美好的一天，他们放弃了自己的全职工作。我敢肯定他们得回答各种各样的问题，而我们得到的帮助也无一例外地友好。总的来说，每次来，我们感受到的只有友善，人们一边享受露天泳池，一边和我们聊天，工作人员也非常专业。埃塞克斯的一大优点是，这里的人都很真诚友善，如果你友善、礼貌、尊重他人等等，他们会竭尽所能地帮助你。如果你粗鲁无礼或者对他们不好等等，你就会得到相应的回报。
长话短说——如果你想参观一个历史悠久的露天泳池，它是由社区以慈善机构（现在仍然是慈善机构）的形式重新焕发生机的，它没有架子，而且靠近海边，所以水温可以很凉，那么这里就是你的不二之选。我们已经预订了下周末的行程！😎
