Great day out whilst sitting away from the crowds

点评：We had a great day at the Lido today. The staff and life guards were smiley and helpful and I felt the lifeguards were very attentive watching everyone in the water, and there was a lot of people!! We loved that there is a shallow pool for our younger ones and our teenage girls loved the deeper pool and the diving board. Plus, a paddle area for us mums to cool down in!
We sat away from the pool on the grassed areas and it had a really relaxed feel, and we went up to watch the children when they swam. It did seem very busy closer to the pools with families crammed together.
All of our children loved the slides and didn't have to queue for too long.
However, the queues for the food/ice cream huts were ridiculously long and slow, so we didn't buy anything whilst there and stopped at the Sainsburys local on the way home for ice creams!! We also took umbrellas, which is a must on such a hot day as there is very little shade.
My biggest disappointment though, on a day which was 31oc, there wasn't a single clean water tap to fill up our water bottles. ;(
Overall though, a fab day - just take lots of drinks with you and umbrellas for shade.
