CarFest at Silverstone的点评
点评：We've been going to Car Fest for many, many years, but after the last one at Silverstone, it will be our last..... whilst it is at Silverstone anyway.
The distance from the campsite to the main event is ridiculous. It might be fine for people going to Silverstone to watch racing for the day, but for families with young children and with trolleys packed with stuff for the day, it is ridiculous.
At every festival we go to, we always go back to the tent late afternoon to change for the evening and get something to eat, but with the camping being a 50-minute walk away from the arena, that made it untenable. I do not go to a festival to spend over 3 hours walking per day just to get from the tent to the event. It's mindless.
On top of the camping being stupidly far away, the overall festival had lost its family feeling. There's something about it being on tarmac that was just off-putting, and even though there was apparently more there, the way it was spread out over such a large area, it felt like there was less. The signage was diabolical, and on the Friday night, going back to the camping, it actually felt unsafe. No one knew where they were going and at points, people were so squashed in dark, unlit areas. It felt like a disaster waiting to happen.
And one thing I can't get my head around is for a festival that is bigger than before, why did you only have one stage compared to your usual two, and fewer acts than you normally have?
We have always loved Carfest, and it has always been the festival we look forward to going to the most. Therefore, my hope is that the organisers dont dismiss all the negative reviews as just coming from whinging people, but as useful feedback for how to make it better in future. I appreciate it must be difficult finding suitable sites to house Carfest. I definitely understand why Silverstone was initially chosen, but after this experience, it's clear to me it is absolutely the wrong venue. If there is an opportunity to go back to Overton, I think the organisers should take it

不但露营地远得离谱，整个音乐节也失去了往日的温馨家庭氛围。整个场地都铺着柏油路面，这种感觉实在让人不太舒服。虽然表面上看起来人更多了，但由于他们分散在如此大的区域内，反而给人一种人很少的感觉。指示牌的设置糟糕至极；周五晚上，在返回营地的途中，我甚至觉得那里很不安全。没人知道该往哪儿走，有时候人们挤在黑暗且没有照明的区域里。那种情形简直就像一场即将发生的灾难。
还有一件事我实在想不通：对于一场规模比以往更大的音乐节来说……为什么今年只有一个舞台，而平时都有两个？为什么表演节目也比往常少呢？
我们一直都很喜欢Carfest，它始终是我们最期待参加的音乐节。因此，我希望主办方不要把所有的负面评价都视为只是爱抱怨之人的牢骚，而是将其视为日后改进的有用反馈。我知道要找到适合举办Carfest的场地肯定很困难。我完全理解为何银石赛道最初会被选中，但经历了这次之后，我深知它绝对是个错误的举办地。如果有机会回到奥弗顿，我认为主办方应该抓住这个机会。
