A Well Maintained Beach & Promenade
Clacton-on-Sea Beach的点评
点评：A large area of sandy beaches both sides of the pier. To the right is the busiest with more cafes, bars, toilets and beach huts
Both have lifeguards, but the left side of the pier has a lifeguard patrolling on a quad bike. This beach is very clean and divided into segments by the stone ‘fishtails’ (Groynes!) They have different names, some are dog friendly as shown on the signs
The promenade is well maintained lots of bins and some beach huts and a few cafes’ A small ‘tourist’ train runs from the pier in the summer to Holland on Sea about 1 mile away for £4.00 rtn or £2.00 single.
The Clacton Tourist Trail is mostly along this route with some interesting information boards and things to see eg Pybys Bay and the house which was dismantled in Suffolk and re-erected on Marine Parade East, a wonderful but private house to see from the road.
