Small museam that has more than you might think to offer, not to be missed

点评：Situated just behind the high street, this town museam is something of a treasure trove and not to be missed. Although appearing small from the outside, the clever layout and smart use of storage allows the space to hold a surprising amount of material from Victorian style sea shell collections to bones from dinosaurs. It tells a story of Southwold with a collection that would interest all the family and the way it's presented with consise and colourful descriptive boards makes it an exceptional visit. Part museam and part social history it has artifacts you would be pushed to find elsewhere. It's run by volunteers and open in the afternoon only but don't be put off by this, it's free to enter although the welcome a small donation and well worth a visit.
