Beautiful inside and well worth a visit
Nativity of Christ Cathedral的点评
点评：This beautiful Russian orthodox church which was built around 1876 stands out in the city with its gleaming golden domes. We first spotted it whilst on the hop on and off city tour bus.
When we went inside this free to enter church, it was beautiful with vibrant colours, icons and images, but sadly there is a sign up saying that you cannot take any photos in there as it is forbidden.
There is a small shop area where you can buy a candle to light for a prayer and buy necklaces, books, cards etc.
Note that if you are a woman, you must have a head covering on in here and dress appropriately. I used the hood on my hoodie to cover my head, but there are scarfs available near the main entrance.
It is one of the must-see places to go in Riga, is about a 10 minute walk from the Old Town area and is well worth a visit.
