Spa at Wynyard Hall的点评
点评：My partner had kindly booked a spa day with a 90-minute massage for my birthday, which I was excited to share with a friend. Unfortunately, the entire experience fell far below acceptable standards—particularly disappointing given how lovely this spa once was.
Upon arrival, we were handed robes that were visibly shredded and worn out. When I requested replacements, I was told the new ones were “better,” but they were still in a scruffy and unacceptable condition. Drinks, which should be a simple part of a relaxing day, had to be requested multiple times, despite numerous staff appearing to be available.
My massage experience was even more concerning. The masseuse brought me into the room and then spent 15 minutes talking to a colleague outside the door about weekend plans. When she finally started, she performed only part of the massage and then abruptly ended it after just 45 minutes—half of the time I had paid for. The massage itself was of very poor quality. In contrast, my friend received the full 90-minute service, which left me sitting around waiting for an additional 45 minutes.
The outdoor hot tubs were grimy, with staff later blaming it on “false tan” from guests. Frankly, that’s not an acceptable excuse for such poor hygiene. The entire facility felt neglected and unhygienic.
I raised my concerns at reception and was told that the masseuse was new and that new robes were on order. I was initially offered £25 off, which I refused as it didn't reflect the scale of the issues. I was then offered half off the treatment I barely received, and complimentary prosecco. Again, this felt like a minimal gesture in response to what was clearly a failed spa experience.
Given the premium pricing of your services, I expected a relaxing, professional, and clean environment. Instead, I received substandard service across the board, and I will not be returning. It's a real shame, as this spa used to be a favourite of mine.
