Always perfect on a warm day - manic though
West Wittering Beach的点评
点评：Getting in and out of west whittering beach is not for the faint hearted. Resign yourself to queues and wear shoes appropriate for stop start driving. Warn husbands in advance so they remain calm and make sure all kids have been to the toilet and have snacks both before arrival and when you leave. BUT it’s worth it. Your time of arrival is very important. I left Worthing 9mins before my friends but was in and unpacked 45mins earlier than them all based on traffic. So aim to arrive for 9am and you won’t regret it. ALWAYS book car parking in advance. It gets full and they will turn you away.
If you can get your hands on the large thick wheeled wagons then do it. The distance from car to spot you find on the beach may be long and it will be very sandy. Don’t forget to check tide times so you don’t set up somewhere the tide will come up to. There is no shade so a beach tent and hats is a good idea on a sunny day. Gazebos and brollies have no chance of there is any wind. Ice cream trips are required as an icecream is unlikely to make it back to your beach spot unmelted. Queues for food (on a busy day) are horrendous and the food is expensive so reduce your stress by bringing your own or bringing a travel BBQ. There are no disposable BBQs allowed.
Part of the beach allows dogs and the blue flag part doesn’t.
There is usually room for a kite and space for blow up Beach. items including kayaks and body boards etc. you can rent stuff nearby as well. There is much castle building so bring all the buckets, spades and toys you would take to a sandy beach in Spain.
