High Point State Park的点评
点评：We were there on a Saturday afternoon in August. Paid $20 for an out of state weekend admission. My husband was appalled.
Immediately took the short, one way scenic drive along a ridge. There was a a very short parking area & observation tower. It wasn't that great with the views. I did get a nice long distance shot of the monument.
We drove to the monument & I just want to say, if you have a handicapped plate you can park BY the monument up on the hill.
The monument is very nice & there's information boards telling you what you're looking at. You can go up the tower for free, but I was satisfied with the view below.
They have bathrooms there with flush toilets.
There's a lake for boating & fishing, A different lake for the beach. Lots of hiking trails, including 9 miles of the AT.
There's supposed to be camping also, but we didn't look at the campground.
