Very disappointed with the venue

点评：Got to the venue and there was a drinks menu on the table where upon a bottle of Prosecco was £15 when a member of staff was approached to purchase a bottle the menus were quickly taken off the tables and I was told these are the wrong menus and was told a bottle of Prosecco was actually £35 a bottle when the member of asked why has the price changed to more than double the price we were told because it’s an evening Christmas party! Not many selections of drinks only one type of gin so if you don’t like Gordon’s you are going without!
We had paid £45 a head for a three course meal with tea and coffee served after.
The first course of goats cheese tart was quite nice
Second course was discussing small serving of chicken with hard veg and bubble and quark
Dessert wasn’t too bad cheesecake
No tea and coffee was served and when a member of staff was asked about it they said we had to pay!
It was quite cold in the venue and a few people were looking forward to a warm drink.
I would not recommend this place at all
If it wasn’t for the company I was in and the disco playing I would have left straight away.
Southwell races seems to get a good review but the venue and food is of very poor quality. I will definitely not be returning
