Roses Galore!

点评：We called in here for breakfast, before continuing on with a long journey home. It had a much better ambience than the hotel we’d spent the night before in, and where we had decided not to sign up for breakfast. The bacon and egg sandwich was delicious, and the tea and coffee hot and plentiful. The cafe was very quiet at that time of the morning, and we sat out amongst the roses.
We then spent a very pleasant hour wandering round the gardens and shop. It’s a good year for roses and they were spectacular. So much so I had to buy two to take home with me, as well as some of their china. I photographed some information boards on planting schemes, and am now planning to update some of my borders. I picked up a catalogue and so had reading material for the onward trip. I wish I lived closer than four hours away! I be a regular.
