Great open mic night but unsettling bar service

点评：Stopped by Whelans on a Monday night for a drink with two friends.
I ordered a beer and it was so flat and foul tasting, it was embarassing. I brought it to the counter and the young bar man seemed to listen to my complaint and poured a fresh drop in a glass and asked me to taste it. I said it still tasted bad and flat or maybe it's the beer.
He said the beer was crap and I shouldn't order it next time and said he couldn't change it. When I worked in a bar if a customer said a beer was flat, you apologised, and then asked what they'd like instead and then you'd go see what the problem was and tell your manager.
I can't believe I paid €7.80 for a foul pint. And I can't believe I accepted that it was my fault for ordering it.
On the plus side the open mic night brought in a good vibrant crowd and the drink specials were welcome €4 for a bottle of Miller of €5 for Budvar is great.
A great night let down by a poor pint and poor attitude to a customer complaint.

美好的夜晚却因为一品脱劣质啤酒和顾客投诉的糟糕态度而黯然失色。
