点评：I’ve been coming here for well over 20 years. Last night, when I walked in, there was an alarm sounding inside the building. I hadn’t heard it until I was already inside, at which point security brought me back outside. One of the security staff spoke to me in a very condescending manner, asking how I could walk into a building with an alarm going off and whether I always do this, despite the fact that the place was full and nobody else was leaving.
When I tried to explain, a second security guard was called over. He repeatedly said things like, “Well, if you think you’re intelligent, you’d know to leave” and “Time you went home.” He continued telling me to go home while the bar remained packed with people.
I have always recommended this place to friends visiting Ireland and have spoken highly of it, but the attitude I experienced last night was appalling. When I mentioned that I own an apartment nearby and am a local, he responded sarcastically with, “Well, aren’t you great with an apartment.”
I ended up leaving and going home, missing meeting my friends who were inside.
