点评：Did a bicycle tour along the Waterfront Pathway from Downtown Kingston to the western end of Lake Ontario Park. Overall, the pathway has had some improvements, adding a pedestrian/bicycle bridge near the now closed Rockwood Asylum. As well the "Gord Downie Memorial Pier" has been added. Swimming, walking, bicycle area. There are still many areas of the waterfront pathway that are narrow, up-heaved, and bumpy. It would be nice to see these areas improved. From speaking to locals, these areas have been like this for many years. Many upgrades have been done, but for some reason, these areas remain in poor condition. Specifically from the Richardson bathhouse to the KGH Helicopter pad. In front of MacDonald Park, there are several areas where the path is in poor condition. The trail sort of ends near Gord Downie Pier, and you must travel by road (bicycles) or sidewalk (pedestrians) up towards the Kingston Penitentiary. You can again re-connect with the pathway in front of Portsmouth Olympic Harbour. The pathway just west of the new bridge, has had parts of the trail have fixed, but there's a stretch that is up-heaved, bumpy and in need of repair. Lake Ontario park trails are nice, and in great shape. The west-end pathway merges with the Rideau Train and ends near Trailhead Place at King Street.
