点评:We enjoyed Iwase district of Toyama. There are so many unique and historical places and things to see.
As we were walking down the street in Toyama, we came upon the Aki Bar with its crimson-color interior. The glossy lacquer items lent to the beauty of what was supposedly a delightful adult escape. It was easy to see why this bar would be frequented by those who had impeccable taste.
Go for Kogei 2024 was held in Toyama and Kanazawa and showcased works by craftspeople, designers and artists living in the area. While in Toyama, we came across some of the work done for the “Go for Kogei 2024” Exhibition held in the Iwase district of Toyama. En Iwamura, a noted artists whose ceramic sculptures reflect his interests in Japanese cultural history and pop culture, his overseas travels, and his personal experience as a new father. His figures usually have large heads and are colored in blues, yellows, and oranges. He was born in Kyoto and was raised by parents who were both artists (painters). The figures were on view until October 21, 2024. Iwamura is often referred to as an artist with no borders.
