点评：It’s a small but good museum situated next to the where the cruise liners dock . If you buy a museum ticket one can get entry into 4/5 museums nearby for free within a 48 hour period and get a 50% discounted entry into the oil museum .
The museum highlights the maritime importance of Stavanger and its links via trade and commerce with the rest of the world . It is not a modern purpose built museum - rather it is housed in a converted ship owners building .
It has a number of interesting exhibits and play areas suitable for children .There are short but informative videos - I enjoyed the one regarding the history of the Norwegian American Line which ran cruise ships between Norway and American between early 1918 until the 60’s when the transatlantic flights chipped away its passenger traffic .
