Lush gardens with a fabulous cafe
Trewidden Garden的点评
点评：Trewidden is one of those wonderful, classic Cornish gardens that takes advantage of the relatively mild year-round climate of the county to create a landscape bursting with lush greenery that sometimes resembles a miniature jungle. Add into that scenario a beautiful pond teeming with life, gorgeous splashes of colour provided by magnolias, rhododendrons, azaleas and camelias amongst other plants and a fair smattering of noble and venerable trees and you have the sort of garden I am happy to mooch around for many hours. At this time of tear, we found this relatively modestly proportioned garden to be quite large enough that we were often out of sight or earshot of other visitors.
The paths were well made and there were plenty of seating places provided - both important when accompanied by my elderly parents.
We felt that the admission fee was modest and the staff friendly.
Especially upbeat were the staff in the small and charming cafe, close to the entrance. Although we had come to enjoy the garden, it has to be said that the unexpected excellence of the food at the cafe was a big bonus. I ate the crab sandwich of a lifetime. You might think a crab sandwich is a crab sandwich but I ate 3 on this holiday and, whilst all were delicious, the Trewidden version was in a league of its own - fresh, sweet and piquant - I savoured every mouthful.
If you like lush, semi-tropical gardens, give Trewidden a go. If you don't, come anyway and have a crab sandwich!

尤其令人惊喜的是入口附近那家小巧迷人的咖啡馆，里面的工作人员热情洋溢。虽然我们此行的目的是欣赏花园，但不得不说，咖啡馆里出乎意料的美味佳肴绝对是一大惊喜。我吃到了此生难忘的蟹肉三明治。你或许会觉得蟹肉三明治都差不多，但我这次度假吃了三个，虽然都很好吃，但特雷维登的蟹肉三明治却独树一帜——新鲜、香甜、微辣——每一口都让我回味无穷。
如果你喜欢郁郁葱葱的亚热带花园，那就去特雷维登看看吧。即使你不喜欢，也一定要来尝尝这里的蟹肉三明治！
