点评:We have just walked this trail today, which is flagged We started at the Lake Hayes pavilion heading north and expected an easy walk of around 2 hours. There were frequent sign posts giving us times to get back to our starting point. However at around 2 thirds of the route , on the south side of the lake, we encountered flooding. There was no option to avoid this as there was a 'private no trespassing' sign towards the higher ground. We ploughed on, expecting that the flooding would be short lived. It was not. We waded through ankle high water for over a mile . Eventually there was an option to head to the road. With shoes sodden we ended the walk beside the main road. I cannot understand why the flooding was not notified on the many signposts along the route and also online. This trail is advertised as easy. We ended up exhausted, with blisters and ruined walking shoes. Beware!!
