点评：I was traveling in the area and just wanted to see the water for the first time when we stumbled upon the Sandbar. On the corner of Bar Harbor Path and Village Route we noticed the small sign and decided to take a look. We didn’t understand why people were running past us as if they were late for something until we saw the tide going out and the warning signs of getting stranded on the island. Guess you do need to be on time for the glimmer of the Sandbar/ Land Bridge to cross to the island. I never been to a beach that was all rocks, but it was beautiful as the sun was setting and the tide was going out revealing the rocky beauty hidden beneath the waters. Ended up just exploring the Sandbar as it was exposed and never crossed over to the island. Great way to start the vacation of the area. Beautiful views.
Not crowded on the Sandbar. No public restrooms visible in this area. Did street parking, kiosk every so often to pay for street parking/ credit card. Streets are narrow and parking is limited in the immediate area.
