Bryn Mawr Vineyards的点评
点评：Our Amity VRBO hosts highly recommended Bryn Mawr as one of the tasting rooms to visit during our short stay. There are over 500 vineyards in the Willamette Valley, so selecting a winery that comes recommended with wines we enjoy is important. We arrived at Bryn Mawr early in the afternoon of a somewhat rainy weekday. The entire outdoor area was empty, and a couple of tables indoors had patrons seated. We stood at the counter and met the gentleman obviously trying to serve people who asked us politely to wait until he closed out a couple of tabs, cash in hand, looking a bit overwhelmed. We were happy to look around and wait patiently until he was ready for us to seat ourselves. As we were looking at the tasting list, and discussing how fun it would be to have such a nice range of wines to try, a woman approached us, standing behind the counter. She was eating, and covering her mouth as she was talking to us. She asked if we had reservations (and we worked hard not to smirk because the place was nearly empty). We said no, and she responded that she could sell us a glass of wine or a bottle, but not tasting. We politely responded "we will go elsewhere then" and we did. We went down the hill to Bethel Heights for an AMAZING tasting: great wine, great views, and wonderful staff. Perhaps it was Kismet the gal at Bryn Mawr pushed us out the door! I have enjoyed wine tastings and purchased fine wines from all around the world, and in very busy wine regions in California, Washington, and Oregon. And I have never been treated so rudely as I was with my husband at Bryn Mawr. We will never go back.
