点评：To have the opportunity to visit King Charles's private residence and gardens was too good to pass up.
We went as a coach party and photo id is required upon entry. Photos were allowed to be taken in the waiting area and shop area but not the gardens.
This didn't bother us as the guide takes you on the garden tour which lasts 90 minutes and explains every aspect of the garden and the ideas behind the planting and King Charles's input to each area.
At one point you are standing right outside the front of the house looking down toward Tetbury.
After we had a meal and everything was planned like clockwork. Staff were all very pleasant and the food delicious.
We then visited the shop and of course some things are pretty pricey but I bought some Highgrove Gin for £40 which was reasonable esp as the botanicals came from the meadow gardens.
We visited in August and the gardens were in full flower but if we go again we'd go in the spring to see the wild flower meadows.
Open from April to October apparently and it gets booked up fast.
What we really loved was that it wasn't overflowing with visitors and the tours were staggered so you always had time to enjoy the gardens in a small group.
