Amazing experience and definitely a must do whilst here

点评：I have done dog sledding before in Tromso and it was amazing so was never going to pass this opportunity up again to do it in Svalbard.
My only issue is from the reviews and concerns from some locals about how the dogs are treated which was something that was paramount to me....I'd be heartbroken to go with a company that did not have the welfare of the dogs at the front of everything.
However, as dog owner for over 50 years, I didn't see anything wrong with the care of the dogs and how they were handled. Huskies are absolutely giddy when they know they're going and strong handling was required to get them in line but at no time was I concerned for any welfare issues.
Good explanations of safety and methods were done well, and the Arctic suits and clothing were perfect for staying warm.
I've learnt that every sled team does things differently with the way they operate the sled and the brakes etc but again everything was thoroughly explained.
Had the pleasure of a lovely Welsh chap from Cardiff for the run which was a decent distance giving us both the opportunity to drive.
Polar dog sledding is just amazing and is a must do.
On coming back to the yard and removing the dogs from the sleds we had a wonderful brandy, waffles and hot chocolate in a log cabin
Following that we went in with the puppies who were clearly happy and playful giving opportunity to hold them.
Overall a professional run outfit with amazing memories
