Oh Val, what happened?

点评：Very sad to see this once thriving and superb pub looking sad and neglected .3 of us went on a lovely tuesday afternoon with the intention of having lunch and a few drinks. We've been using "The Val" for 15 years having a caravan a short walk away we've always enjoyed our visits.
This time however on entering the beer garden we were greeted by overgrown hedges, rubbish in the bushes, weeds all over the patio and filthy stools !
We ordered drinks , they were fine, the lady serving was a bit dour, we got some menus. The food choices are very basic, jacket spuds, £8.50 ! Lasagne, chilli, scampi etc all £14. - £16 ! The previous menu by the long standing ex licensees was a wonderful mix of contemporary dishes, this resembles a menu from the '80's all that was missing was Black Forest Gateaux!
There really was nothing we fancied and with 2 out of the 3 of us being veggie, we struggled. But the deciding factor in us leaving and not ordering was the afformentioned neglected surroundings. If the public area are so dirty, what's the kitchen like?
We supped up and left, saddened by what "The Val" has become. We'll give it another try, there's nowhere else in Llandullas really. Maybe on our return, things will have improved, we can but hope.

我们吃完饭就离开了，对“The Val”现在的样子感到难过。我们会再试一次，兰杜拉斯真的没有其他地方了。也许我们回来的时候，情况会有所改善，我们只能希望如此。
