点评:Our first day in Banff one of our first stops was the visitor center to get acclimated to the area and purchase the required Banff National Park Pass.
Basically the facility is a large upstairs room with teller-like stations and brochures on the opposite wall. Went to the counter and inquired about the Park Pass. We mentioned we would be visiting for two days and we were sold a two day pass. When we returned to our hotel that night we learned that everyone was being admitted to the national park free for multiple months this summer beginning on day two of our visit. In fact, we realized the next day all ranger entrance gate stations had closed all the lanes that made you stop to buy or show your passes and everyone was being admitted for free. So we were essentially told to pay for days that were effectively free. Inappropriate act by National Park Staff to sell these unnecessary passes
