点评:This is the second cave we've visited, having done Stump Cross Caverns previously. This cave is well organised, lit, and you are provided with a laminated sheet which talks you through the scenic points of the cave. There are no stairs/ steps/ steel inclines, which may suit those with more limited mobility, however there are a few very low ceilings.
The cave itself is beautiful throughout with several unique features, and we found the guide sheet really useful in ensuring we knew which scenic features to look out for, while it was also cool knowing the history of this cave. A particularly interesting feature is a series of small stalactites habinging above a pool, the reflection of which looks like a futuristic city - I've included a photo of this.
Beyond the cave itself, we accessed the site via the nature walk, then continued up the hiking trail, before completing the circular which takes you through a field of sheep, culminating in a long walk with a wonderful view of rolling hills. This hike, almost six miles makes for a great day out and a chance to see a great many natural features all in one place (forests, a lake, caves, hills, grassy fields).
I would definitely recommend a visit.
