点评:The Gua Batu Cermin cave or ‘Mirror cave’ is located around 7km outside of town.
Look, it’s alright. Definitely nothing special.
Its big selling point is that it’s usually sold as part of a package tour which includes Rangko cave and Sylvias point (for sunset) and this can be knocked over in an afternoon.
There is a large building at the entrance where you are charged 50000IR per person entry fee and then another 50000IR for a guide. I’m not sure if the guide is compulsory or not but I actually found him to be quite helpful in guiding me through the various sections of the caves, which lacked signage. He was also helpful in pointing out some of its more unique features, such as a fossilised turtle. The cave unfortunately had signs of damage, particularly to some of its stalactites. If you’ve seen caves before, this is nothing special.
If you’ve got time to kill in Labuan bajo its probably worth visiting as a part of a larger tour of the area (Rangko, Sylvia’s point) but probably doesn’t hold enough weight to be worth a visit on its own. If you’re short of time in Labuan bajo - dont worry about it.
