点评：The Sandon Museum offers a well-curated glimpse into a fascinating piece of BC history, and at $5 per person, it’s absolutely worth the stop. We were fortunate to receive a guided tour from Frank, a long-time local whose passion and knowledge added incredible depth to our visit — though we're not sure if personal tours are the norm or just fortunate timing for us.
That said, the overall experience of visiting Sandon can feel a little confusing. There seems to be some division among those involved in the town's operations, and visitors may feel caught in the middle. A clear map, signage, or even a “Start Here” guidepost would go a long way in helping guests navigate what’s part of the official heritage site and what’s not.
Some non-historic elements — like abandoned buses — detracted from the authenticity of the experience, but there’s still much to enjoy. With a bit more collaboration and clearer guidance, Sandon has great potential to be a true historical gem.
