点评：A beginner (1st time on a horse) rider went for a 30 min lesson.
There were plenty of people on the yard when we arrived, however we were not greeted, asked if we needed help, pointed in the right direction. It was an awkward 'figure it out for yourself' moment which didn't feel very welcoming.
We hired a hat from the yard, and i was told to grab one from the cabin. Having paid for hat hire, I thought there would have been a safety checked at this point, however it was left to my judgement to size and fit it.
The lesson started late, finished early and the coach spent more time talking about classical dressage training, spanish riding school and her/her daughters competitive past, then she did teaching the child in front of her. The rider, who needs to know the very basics, found it baffling and was at a loss as to what the coach was on about the majority of the time.
I was also concerned by some of the language used during the lesson - be brutal, the bit adds pain, use pain to control. I didn't think it was appropriate, engaging or fun for a first experience.
The coach was also interrupted on her phone/watch a number of times, which i thought was rude when you are paying a 30 min private lesson.
As a result, i found the lessons to be expensive for the experience received.
